Taken from The Grand Rapids Press on Saturday, 07-05-08...
"Greener floats in East Grand Rapids included Stuart Berman's yellow, 40 mile-per-gallon smart car. Only three entries got better mileage: A pair of quarterhorses; a Styrofoam shark-tricycle combo; and a wheeled cockpit campaigning for a judge.

Yeah, it's patriotic to be green," Berman, 48, joked of his 8-foot-long economy-class ride, assembled in France. "That must be it."

We, too, had a terrific time! If you ever get the chance to drive your smart in a parade, any parade, I heartily suggest you do it! What great fun it was. Our smart's were appauded and given the "thumbs up" more times than I can count!
We can't wait until next year!

We had a great time and talked to a lot of people before the parade as we waited to start and after as we parked at the local D&W supermarket.

Nice old cars and shiny new ones!

We were a great hit! About 7,000 people attended.

Mighty Atom had fun.

Kids threw candy from the tailgate.

Itibiti made a great showing!

Car line up begins at 10:30 AM (Hall & Lake Dr). Parade begins at 11:30. Should be a lot of fun! East Grand Rapids is a fun community with some very nice places to eat and relax. I expect we'll see a lot of interest in our smart cars.
