You made it home before I did!  I ran into hail arounf Gas City.  I though it was going to come through the windshield!  Has to slow down to about 30 mph.

Glad you had a good time.  Now, what to do next year?......

Had a great time - thanks for putting it together.  Managed to avoid any storms at the track, only to get back to Dayton and get hailed on around 7 p.m.

OK, just wanted to  update this one last time.  We did get a couple of last minute donations, so we will be doing the raffle after all.  The grand prize will be a 50/50 drawing, with proceeds going to St. Vincent Heart Center.  Our club VP was a guest there in January, and they literally saved his life.  It's just a small way to say "thank you".

What other prizes?  You will just have to be there to see!

Afterwards, a group of us will be traveling to Lucas Oil Raceway for a little smart drag racing.  Admission is $20 for racers, $5 for spectators.  It will be a fun time!

Let's plan 8:15am, that gives me some wiggle room for traffic.  I posted this on SCOA as well.

That would be good; the motel is pretty close to the smart center.  Pick a time and we'll meet you there.

Sorry about that, I originally put 9 in as a place holder.  Every year so far people have shown up a lot earlier than what was posted.  Maybe we should have a pre-event breakfast meet up?  There is a Bob Evans on the corner of 96th & I-69.  I was planning on leaving my house about 6, which would put me in Indy about 8.  I know I'll be at scI by 10 to help set up.

Hmmmmm - that would have been nice to know; we could have driven over from Dayton after all.

Another update.  I realize I forgot to post the start time.  Festivites will start at 11:00 am.  smart center Indy opens at 10, so if you want to show up a little early, that's OK.

OK, I wanted to post an update.  So far we are getting very positive feedback on attendance.  It looks like we are not going to be able to do the raffle.  None of the companies we approached about donations have responded.  So sad, it was going to be for a great cause.

We are looking at adding a little something different though.  We have a small group who want to go visit Lucas Oil Raceway for a little head to head drag racing after the event.  For those that attended Nationals, and went,  it was a lot of fun.  May not be much to watch(20 sec. + times), but those of us who raced certainly enjoyed it.  They are having a "test & tune" night next Wednesday.  Gates open at 5, racing starts at 5:30pm.  It is $20 to race, $5 for spectators.  I can promise, it will be a blast.  Our cars are so evenly matched(except for the two running turbos) that it's all based on reaction times.  The quickest foot usually wins.

Long distances?  No problem; the smart is one of the most comfortable small cars you can drive.
