SMART car National Convention and Car Show is going to be the largest smart car event in the nation! We will have multiple drives, vendor booths, tech talks, and you get to vote on your favorite smart car! Comment by Jill Hobbs on Monday: I'm hoping that the process of getting Car2Go is faster than Jose Cornejo indicated. I know it takes time to get anything through even the city government process.

It would be great if it was up and running for those that don't have time to drive to Denver or feel it is too long of a drive.

Comment by toes on Sunday: I'll still be here after the Nationals are over :) (I hope) ... It's been years since they got started in other cities in the US, so I can wait a few more months. I had to wait almost ten years to be able to buy a smart in the US. We've come a long way.

Comment by jwight on Sunday: "After reviewing input from the public, Jose Cornejo, Public Works director, is expected to approve the car-sharing rules and regulations in the next couple of months." They'll be lucky to get Car2Go ready by the Nationals, which is unfortunate.

There is a very good chance that we will have rental smarts available for people to drive during the convention. On the homepage of https://smartcarnatls.com , there is a link where you can put in your request for one of the rentals.
