I'm 3 hours south of Old Orchard - is there any way to know if this is really going to happen tomorrow? I'll bring my 2008 up for the event - but if it's pointless, I want to know before I drive.

Will attend if Houston area is added to tour. Smart street tour should include major populated areas (cities) for exposure for safety features for advertising. All owners in these areas get great gas mileage, fun car to drive, and safety features not known to skeptical public! WPF

um,where were you today?I drove around Old Orchard mall at 11:00 am and again at 4:30 pm. I didn't see anything to do with smart. I hope you show up tomorrow the mall is usually packed for the weekends and we are having a club meet there on Sunday morning at the Calif. Pizza Kitchen and then plan on going to the drive event to show our support.BTW, this is the 2nd time I have posted this comment, can't find the first one.........
well, now I know why you weren't there the dates were changed and no one was informed not even my brand specialist. Old Orchard was originally a 3 day event, the 26th-28th, no it 's the 27th & 28th. Oh well..........

Answer to request for details in other comments is to go to:
http://smartusa.com/streettour. This Website is given at top of page.
But even this website does not give all the details we want. Also, it gives exact locates and dates for only four cities. And none is near enough to me (Baltimore). I also am frustrated that not enough PR work is being done by Smart USA to counter not only the safety concern but the unfair description of the car's ride and handling by Consumer Reports and, I guess, others. The rest of the world understands that a truly SMALL car, e.g., under 1900 lbs, can never handle rough pavement the way Americans have been spoiled into expecting. Also, the transmission performance is misunderstood, as well. We are past Peak OIl. We must accept SMALL cars, if we want to still be driving our own car 20 years from now. At least we must encourage MANY others to drive them, not ridicule them by implication, in the way we describe the SMART's ride and handing.
