Paint it black. Or red. Or yellow. With more color selections than ever, the 2016 smart fortwo coupe and 2017 smart cabriolet let owners steer their style.
You can now choose from ten body panel colors, including black, white and red. For an additional $350, you can opt for a metallic hue: cool silver metallic, hazel brown metallic, black-to-yellow metallic, lava orange metallic, or midnight blue metallic. Owners can also opt for the moon white matte or titania grey matte for $450 more.
And the choice doesn’t stop there. smart now offers the tridion safety cell in black, white, jupiter red, cool silver metallic, lava orange metallic and graphite grey matte. Matte paint costs $250 more. Grille colors include black, cool silver metallic, white, and black-to-yellow metallic for that extra touch of color.
Finally, the cabriolet offers a choice between the standard black soft top and, for a small additional cost, the lush dark red soft top. What would you choose? Share your thoughts with the Insider community below.
Just a note - according to a post on SCoA, the color for the yellow grill should be "black-to-yellow" metallic, not "hello yellow" metallic.
