Never had the light go on until last week. Found large nail in the tire that entered in the tread area but came thru the sidewall on the inside of the tire where it could not easily be seen. Put me down as a fan of the tire pressure warning system. The tire had to be replaced.

Just this past week, TPMS light came on. I checked and all tires were down about 2-3 lbs each. I'm assuming this is because of the cooler weather we've had. Pumped them back to factory specs and reset the TPMS. All is well now. . .
The low pressure light came on once on my Passion. I finally broke down and actually read the owners manual, I set all four tires per the pressure on the door post, and followed the instruction in the owners manual to reset the light. No more problems. Whe all else fails, read the instructions, You should be able to reset the light without going to the dealer. If it won't reset, that is another story.
I had the low pressure light go off two times. I now have the tires filled with nitrogen and will be really observing any changes. Thrre should not be any.
When mine came on one of the front tires was found to be 6 lbs low, and 10 days later the same tire is low and the light came on again. I must have a slow leak in that tire, and am going to have it checked at a Continental tire dealer.
My tire pressure warning light has decided to stay on all the time.

It did reset once, but no more.

My Smart is almost due for its one year service, so I'll ask the dealer to check it out and reset it when I take it in..
I also have a Prius and Toyota suggested that I refill my tires with Nitrogen. We did and didn't have any more problems. When my Smarty started the same thing....I called and asked about the Nitrogen....Smart said I could try it...did and the warning like has not come on again.
My tire pressure wanring light came on last week..checked pressure and found each tire was below recomended pressure..we had just had our first major drop in tempreture. This is what caused it, I think...those West is the Mississippi may be having the same problem as we start to "cool" down..anyway as soon as I had pumped them up the light went off. I think the caue is change in tempreture..any comments ?? Michael
Nitrogen is the latest craze, it has less water in it so temperature does not affect it as much. Eventually as service stations get the equipment to fill with nitrogen, it will be lower cost to replace the air in tires.
