The last two fillups has not registered full on the dash gauge. It indicates one notch down from full. Has anyone had this problem? I am really far from a dealer and won't be able to get to one for several months. I'd love to hear suggestions so I can regain my trust in the gauge.
Hi Dody, Yes, I've had the same thing happen. But , weird, sometimes the next day it shows full. I'm not too worried about it but, I'm going to stop in the dealer and ask about it. I live a few blocks from where I bought my smart. I'll let you know what they say.

Yes, I too have had the same issue on the last 2 fillups.
I actually went as far as topping off on my last fillup just to see if
maybe the pump just clicked off too early on the previous fill.
But even after topping off, the guage was one short of full.
However after about 30-40 miles all of a sudden it showed full while I
was driving.
It seems to work fine other than this. I usually get about 370 miles before it gets to
the last 1/8th mark.
I do understand that some guages are just a bit "stuck" and the dealer can do
a simple fix.
There have been a number of discussions about this on the SCOA forum. It seems that the folks who had this problem all needed it corrected by the dealer. For some it was a software tweak, for others it was replacement of the sensor.
I've noticed the same "problem". Sometimes it eventually registers as full, sometimes it just takes 100 miles before it drops to the second line. It's not a huge issue as long as it picks up the correct mark before it runs out of gas. I have learned to go with the automatic shutoff after I spilled fuel trying to top it off to get it to register as full. We don't live far from the dealer so I guess I'll have to kidnap the little "A Cup" from my daughter for a day and take it in.
I was also having trouble with my fuel gage not reading full. I was running mine down all the way to reserve with maybe 2/10ths of a gallon left. Since I quit doing that, it has always indicated full after a fill up. When it was not registering full right after a fill up, it generally would register full after driving 20 or 30 miles.
