Painted front, rear, and sides
I have a red 09 like pictured. I masked off the areas around the plastic and painted them with Rust-O-Leum Daybreak Red made for plastic. Did not sand anything, cleaned the areas with thinner and sprayed about 4 coats. Matches perfect. My Smart dealer could not believe how good it looks. About 4-5 hours and $15 later.

I am assuming you painted the black skirts on the bottom of the car. I used red sign vinyl and it took less than an hour. Cost $4
