Finishing Install of Area 451
I have everything done except the re-doing the wiring in the rear harness at the back of the car. The substitution tool they mentioned in the instructions is to use a bent staple because the tool actually used for it is too expensive. I tried using the staple idea to remove wires from harness to put the wires from area 451's harness but without success. Anyone can tell me if there a better inexpensive tool other than a staple to do it or tell me what I could be doing wrong. I think the tool's name has ISO in it (not sure).P.S. I did slide the safety lock on the harness to the unlock position first.

How long ago did you buy the CC. He includes the correct tool in every box now. If you go to the area 451 site it will tell you exactly which staple you need. It's not just any staple.

Send an email to SmartieParts [steven@smartieparts.com] and tell him you didn't get the tool to install the 451. It was included in all of the kits shipped except the very early ones. I'm sure he'll stick one in an envelope and mail it to you. Enjoy! - sheureka

I figured out what the two pieces of wire was in the 451 box was and was able to finish te cruise control last friday and thanks for the help.
