FYI, I tried to verify this post on WSOCTV.com and cannot get the photo, when I tried to use google it, the first thing that came up was this post and nothing on the photo. Robert, do you really want this post to be your claim to fame on google. Let news people give out the news.
My suggestion: delete this post.

Thanks to Tom Owens for finding the link to this story.
I have a comment on 'News' items in todays media. This story was exactly four sentences, this is typical of what is called news nowadays, little detail, but a great attention getting shock headline. It's a shame that more detail on the accident was not revealed, maybe people could learn something. Was the minivan driving way too fast? Was this driver 'texting', on cell phone? In the photo it looks like the hit was on the passenger side and the smart is on the grass. Was the smart all the way across the road on impact?
As the PSA used to say 'Speed Kills'.
Still a sad event. Robert, feel free to delete this disscussion thread on January 31st.

FWIW, my wifes Uncle and Aunt in law were hit broadside in a full size Cadillac two years ago. They did not survive. They were in their late 70's. I agree with J. on this one. The fact is that anyone who perishes in ANY car is sad and is a shame. Most collisions are because of poor driving. My condolences to all the families.
Slow down people, you'll get to your destination just as quick.
