Posting events on the websites and email is good for folks thet 'goto' the internet. I have found that there are many more owners that do not 'do internet'.  Having snail mail and a 'media' plan will really get the word out. And, as Gary said, posters! For any place that deals in smarts. btw, the CO smartCenter 'gets it'.

Eric, adding this to the Events section and sending a message blast to the CO group on Insider should help get the word out too.  At this time, this is not listed as an event on Insider. There is a post about it on SCoA already.  I'll send a PM to Katie and offer assistance if needed.

Maybe smartUSA could support with a Facebook and twitter post.  Thoughts?

An invitation to all SMARTies!  Mercedes Benz of Westminster Colorado is sponsoring a huge party for SMART car owners!  This is going to happen on November 9 at 6:30 PM, and is open to all SMART Car owners, from anywhere, not just the Denver Metro area.  Brother's Barbecue will be served, along with great door prizes.  There will discussions from SMART technicians, as well as a Q&A session.  In addition there will also be a presentation from a member of the Mercedes Benz club about how the SMART is the only car without a Mercedes Benz emblem on the grill allowed in the club!  I'd love to say that there would be drawing for a new SMART, but I'm sure that MB would be upset about that, however don't let a little thing like that deter you from visiting this wonderful facility in Westminster Colorado.  There has been much discussion about how bad some dealers are, well this is an opportunity to see what the best dealer looks like! Please RSVP to Katie O'Neil at koneil@mbwestminster.com .  Don't miss this event!!!!

"Maybe a more centrally located national event at the new Minnesota dealership opening in 2012.!"

How about Omaha? It too is centrally located, only 300+ miles from where I live, & I could combine it with service or warranty work. I'm sure that would upset SmartUSA that all these "orphans" would attempt to get their warranty honored, but at least I could get to know my nearest Smart warranty center.

Omaha sounds good to me also, perhaps we could convoy the 'Norwegian bachelor farmers' from Minnesota, and we could get our service work done at the same time.

Omaha offers the Union Pacific railroad museum which I would like to see and also the Strategic Air Command museum.

Based on your feedback, we added a link to smartusa.com on our main page to compliment the twitter, flickr, Facebook and YouTube links.  A small change for sure, but we will continue to listen and tweak where we can.
Thanks!

Hey MB, thanks for the new Miami dealer

yeah, at least the could train a technician at an MB dealer so he could do simple stuff and maybe run some diagnostics on it.  If it is a serious problem the could bump you to a specialist (smart center).  That way they could increase the coverage without too much resources, and 90% of the problems could be handled close to the customer.. .  They need to get that thinking out of the box.

Despite possible problems, I am getting ready to buy a second smart, in addition to, not in place of.  I believe in the car, and 43 in town will put my F150 ato bed for awhile.

MB should send someone or support events. The Dragon, The Keys. or just give a small prize, or get the dealers to go.
