What would you like in the next generation fortwo?

The car is on its way, being developed on a shared Daimler/Renault chassis.  What features would you like to see on the new fortwo, and what do you NOT want to see?

For me:

1. Keep it small, light and uniquely styled.

2. A speedometer that is marked in both mph and kph.

3. Adjustable steering wheel.

4. Add a rear fog light (as on the current EU models)

5. Improved heater and A/C.

6. Keep the removable body panels.

7. Replace the Makralon material in the panoramic roof.

8. Six speed transmission.

9. At least 50 mpg on the highway.

10. Improve the ride over bumps and ruts.

Don't:

1. Make it larger, plusher and more expensive.

2. Add a bunch of expensive creature comfort gizmos.

3. Change any of the electronic safety features.

4. Remove any of the Mercedes-Benz quirks.

5. Eliminate the dash mounted pods - those are smart icons.

Bring the 'Micro Hybrid Drive' to the USA.

Good question - will the next gen smart even have mhd?  Assuming they can get the mpg figures improved enough they may not need it.  A lot of folks in the UK just turn it off apparently.

Turning off the engine at all the long Traffic lights in Jax (and the US) would make a big difference for me, in saving money, and imagine all the fuel we waste at lights.
Turning it off in parking lots makes sense to me.
Question: do the Brits mention the reasons they turn it off?
MJB.

The posts I've seen mention they see it as a nuisance...

So far, no plans to bring the mhd over to the states.  Mercedes-Benz is employing start/stop technology across the board so I would imagine we will see it when the 453 chassis hits.

EV3 comes in the fall/early winter with improved range and performance.

I'd run with the OP list, with a few mods:

Absolutes:

1) Temperature gauge.

2) Coolant level indicator.

3) Diesel version

Nice to have:

1) Tilt up wheel - I have to shuffle my legs a bit to get in and out.

Agreed: don't want it bigger or 'luxed out'.
