My son and wife got a key for Xmas. Every day I get to watch people smile as they see my car. Yup, it's kind-of dorky for me, but it sure makes a whole lot of people smile.
I'm the "key-meister" at windupkey.com and I notice that several people have purchased my keys through Smart Madness, but have not registered them with me.... some new names showing up out there....:-)
Please let me know which serial numbers you have so I can track them.
Also, I have seen a simple brake light solution tried where the negative wire (black) is connected to the CHMSL wiring (central-high-mounted-stop-light) and the positive wire connected to the license plate light power. When the brake light is energized the differential voltage across the motor is zero and it stops. The only drawback of this method is that the small current of the drive motor (about 0.1 amp) may make the brake lights glow at a low level which is not normally noticed. The goofy part of this is that if the license plate light circuit is turned off the net applied voltage is reverse and the key may turn clockwise when the brakes are applied!
The relay approach is much better in terms of predictable performance! Ernie has a good solution here.
