Contact your dealer and Smart USA to let them know we WANT the latest engine/propulsion systems Smart offers. Smart is all about being green. I want my smart to be the greenest green ti can be. We need to be able to conserve as much energy as possible. Therefore we need the latest technological advances Smart has.

Comment by clicker on March 27, 2010 at 10:54am: The only way I'll trade in my current smart before it can't be fix anymore is for a CDI.An ED is out of the question and in MHO is going to be a major flop.

Comment by spicejax on March 24, 2010 at 7:10pm: The reason we are not able to get a CDI in the USA is due to Daimler not wanting to spend the money to get the car USA certified. It's the ROI problem. They are banking on the ED smart. I think the car with CDI should get a exemption from the EPA. Don't know about the MHD, but I really want it here.

You must know something about EPA regs that Daimler does not. "Demand" these cars be sold here? How about "asking" ?
