I had good luck with Runge's up in Roger's Park. They did some snow tire work for me last year, and were unphased by the three lugs, etc. I find them dependable and honest, and would recommend them to you. They won't try to sell you unnecessary services, and will honestly let you know if that rim is bent.

OUCH! Was the rim damaged or is it just the tire?

Just heard from Tom and he is coming and bringing a 450 if it does sell before our meet. So, Dec. 13th at 11:30 am @ the CPK in Schaumberg.

I hope people can spare an hour or two to be with friends during the holidays.

Hi Clicker et al,

December may be too busy for people - but John and I will try to be either in Schaumburg or Skokie. I love our get-togethers. So let's do it.

LOL... I stand corrected! Parking isn't a problem anywhere...

We always have the meets at 11:30 so we can find parking. The Schaumberg location is across the street from Woodfield and they have plenty of parking also.

Has anyone had to buff out scratches on a body panel? My smart got bruised by an inattentive driver, and the insurance company is being a real pain. They want me to "paint" the fender (uh, no, no paint, thank you). The scratches aren't deep, but I don't want them left unattended as it affects the value and the looks (they catch the dirt first) on my otherwise great car. Anyone had it done, know what it costs, or know who knows how to do it?

I am new to these gatherings, and hope to come (although I am casted on my right foot, and will have to talk a family member into driving me!). I will tell you that in a non-holiday shopping rush it can be hard to find parking at Old Orchard CPK in Skokie. I don't know what the December crush would be like, but I suspect it would be frustrating... I also don't know where the CPK is in Schaumburg, so maybe that will have similar challenges.
