Lisa push the door unlock on the key or on the dash. That will open the right door, the rear hatch, and the gas tank. Kathy in Ca.

Thanks!  I'm curious to know about our new car and that was one thing I couldn't find in the manual.

Hi Mark! The light you are referring to is a temperature sensor.

Nothing I have done has made it light up yet.  If it does light up.

Sorry haven't a clue. Would it light up when the heater or air is on ? Kathy

Just received our new 2015 smart electric drive and having fun learning all about it.  Small question - at the bottom of the heat/air distribution knob there appears to be an LED.  What is this about?  So far I haven't located anything about it in the manual, thanks!

I bought a 2009 Used Smart Car from a dealer that had 6700 miles on it 3 years ago. It now has 12,000 miles on it and the engine light came on. I took it to dealer only to find out that it needs the Fuel Sensors replaced on top of gas tank! They are plastic, and where out often. With no warranty on it the cost is over $1200.00 to repair!! It requires dropping the engine out....Good Grief! I have only driven the car 6000 miles!

New to the group and I am from southern NH. Anyone else from that area? Bought a 2008 last year (2013) and has been good, but this year I had to replace the muffler, right coil spring and 2 front tires. Expensive, but great for tooting around town.
