I am new to this Group even though I have been a Smart owner for 2 years. I love the vehicle and consider driving this to be an extension of my lifestyle, i.e. small, environmentally friendly, economical, and just downright fun.
As I teach at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, I am eager to write a paper on this sense of identity, and other considerations that make the Smart enjoyable for each of us. But I also would like to discuss those considerations whereby our neighbors and friends think we are crazy to risk driving such a small, and potentially lethal, car on the freeway. I am sure each of us has heard this before.
I would be so grateful if members could reach out to me if they would like to join in this conversation. I could arrange an evening, or two, for us to come together and have an open conversation (focus group in research speak) in different locations across New England. As Smart car owners, each of you have a unique experience and engaging this would be an excellent basis for a paper. Confidentiality can be guaranteed.
Please do email me on email@example.com, or comment in the Discussion if you could partake in the conversation.
Thanks to everyone for reading this. I hope to hear from many of you interested in growing the Smart world on the road.
