Ok, guys. Im going to send this in a message also. We have a website for our group. It is not up yet, but will be soon. The address for it is www.dfwsmart.org. I chose the dot org because we are not selling anything and are non profit. Im waiting on the logo and we will be set. More new to come. Should be up by friday.

Should we combine the North Central Texas Smart Owners and DFW Smart? Seems like having two groups maybe causing some of lack of response since not everyone sees the messages... Of course I could be wrong, so let’s hear everyone's opinion in both groups.

I keep missing the gatherings and would still like to make one. I have a new Beagle puppy that has kept me running and we go to East Texas about every 3rd weekend now the weather is cooler. Are there any events/gatherings planned for November or December?

1978 Honda Hawk CB400A Hondamatic

I am selling my 78 Honda hawk Hondamatic motorcycle. It has a clear Texas title. This baby is hard to part with, but I am finally getting a car with gas millage to match it. This sweet bike was one of the first cruisers that Honda sold, and the only model that's was an automatic! (they had other engine sizes: 450,750, but the same frame) That's right, no clutch! It has 2 speeds and can fly with the best of them. This is no sport bike, but is not a bad bike to get you to and from places. I found this baby in bad condition and I have poured over $1000 into it to make it road worthy. I used it as our second mode of transportation, weather permitting, to get me back and forth to school, work, and internships in Dallas and Irving from Lewisville.

Since I bought it a year ago, it has had a brand new headlight, headlight assembly, seat cover, starter, chain, sprocket, brake handle, master cylinder, tires, tubes, mirrors, battery, carbs have been rebuilt,

Mileage is 13780. This is a collectors bike. Honda only made this bike for 1978. They made two models. The CB400A (400 cc engine), and the CB750A (750 cc engine). I have seen this bike for for more than $3000 on ebay in worse condition than mine. The bike is running, very well I might add and the engine is very quite.

This is a sweet deal considering the value of the bike to collectors and the high gas prices. I got around 40 mpgs and I am a bit large for this bike. (I saw somwhere that you can expect 70-80 mpgs, but at least you can bet on 40-45) Cheep parts, and easy maintenance. Any one can work on it, and I will even throw in the detailed Clymer tear down manual for free. If you want it, I will even give you the motorcycle cover.

1500 OBO. Great, smooth ride. Cash speaks loud, but will accept Paypal (transferred before you receive the bike) money order, or cashiers check (funds on money order and check must clear before transaction can be completed.)

Hi All,
I picked up my little baby on March 31st and have loved driving it every day since. I waited 1 year for my car and it was worth it....so far...knock on wood. I would like to say posted on any events happening in North Dallas or Collin County events and I look forward to meeting other Smart owners form the DFW metroplex.
Now that the weather is getting nicer I hope Perry or someone will put something together.

I reserved 12-16-2007 and haven't heard anything about configuring either. I did go to the dealership last month to get on the orphan list (which is a gazillion pages long) and they told me the average time to from reserving to configuring wass eight months, so I should have heard something last month, but didn't the DDE will not give me a date, and the last time spoke with the smart 800 number they could just confirm I was in que, they could not tell me when to anticipate a configuration email....I hope it's soon. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one wringing my hands wondering if they forgot me.

Been on the list just a little over 4 months now and wondering how the little guy is holding up on maintenance. Any owners had them long enough to see any problems yet?
