For my wife and I time is a problem.  We enjoyed going but, I think the novelty is just wearing off, for us. I just got rearended this past friday and the car is at benson collision center. I am not that impressed with Benson and was rather hoping that MB of Boerne would have gotten the dealership, as that dealership is beyond fantistic. I brought my sons C300 into the dealership once and they gave him an R350 as a loner because I wanted to see how it drove. Like every one else Ancira didn't tell me they dropped smart and benson took it over so when I went in for service it only took them a half hour to inform me. Ancira is a joke when it comes to service, and Benson was totally not prepared and they didn't have some of the things my car needed have to go back at some later time. All and all I will probably keep my smart till the extended warrant goes out which has some long time on it, then it will probably go. Even though I drive it a lot, with all the newer cars coming out with more innovations, and smart not keeping up with the other car makers it makes little sense to keep it, now if smart were to keep up with innovations then maybe I would trade for another smart, who knows.

Hey Robert. I think the group is dissolved. Jennifer Ruff tried to get it going again but got pretty much zero response. She has since traded in her smart, so I think even she is out as well. Your right though, with the smarts that MB is sending out the door, the group might grab some more attention. I would love to see the group get started up again and I would be willing to help whoever gets it going, I use to run the group in austin, but with my job and other community organiztion responsibilities, I just don't have the time to invest running the whole group.

Just joined this group today, and my wife and I would like to see the club meet to at least discuss what lies in the future. Just saw a group of Classic VW's a week ago at the Freddie's near South Park Mall. An informal meeting like that would not take a lot of time, and could all get to know one another.

Would anyone be interested in purchasing my used all weather floor mats?  They are in good condition (I have cleaned them well) and they still have the plastic "bolts" to seal them to the floor as well as velcro backing.  If your interested please email me.  InfamousMacBook@me.com

I know it isn't local, but the wineries (even in fredericksburg) are a ton of fun.  When I was with CenTex (in Austin), we did a winery trip and everyone had a blast and when ideas were being asked for, another winery trip was always number one.  I know it may be cliche, alcohol and cars, but, everyone stayed safe.  I was wondering where the dealership moved to.  I hate that people may have lost their jobs, but, I only had one experience in that dealership and it was far less then stellar and from what I hear, many other people had the same issue.  Hope to see some ideas on here for an outing, I haven't had an smart outing since I moved to San Antonio!

As far as a trip idea... On July 23rd they are running a Chili and Chillin event along all the highway 290 wineries.  Chili and Chillin   One of my favorite wineries is Torre di Pietra and they have live music every Sat. and you can find the calender here - Torre di Pietra  - let me know what you guys think.

Yea, I noticed when I drove by the old smart dealership and it was full of pickup trucks!  I also noticed they said FIAT was coming to that spot.   Good news about the level of service at Benson.  Was the cost any higher?

I didn't know about the dealership moving, I'll have to go check it out.  Would love to get together sometime! Unfortunately I don't know what there is to do around here so I have no ideas :(   Useless, I know!

Was anyone notified that the dealer changed from Ancira to Benson Mercedes?  I found out when I took my car to Ancira for it's annual service.  Benson was great, much better than I have been treated at Ancira for a while.
