"in the san antonio area, and are interested in a group? check out our page on facebook, search alamo mercedes smart owners"
DFW Smart.org is still going strong! We frequently have new members join our group. We set up our own forum on Yahoo Groups and have over 100 members with approximately 1/2 being more active then the other half. We have a 'hard core' group of 20-30 cars and participate in many events. Two weeks ago we where at Earth Day Dallas and on May 19th we will have about 20+ cars for Laps for Charity at Texas Motor Speedway! Once the word gets out about the Austin event in November, I'm sure we will have 30+ cars coming to Austin for the weekend! Be great if both our groups can have a Meet & Greet! Maybe the first TEXAS NATIONALS ? We also have a great relation ship with our 2 Smart Centers (Dallas & Fort Worth).
I am the co-organicer of DFWsmart.org. Check out our website and contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested to resurrect the San Antonio Smart Car Club!
Just want to make you all aware of the meet up in Austin this November: http://www.smartusainsider.com/events/austin-gets-smart-november-16...
For my wife and I time is a problem. We enjoyed going but, I think the novelty is just wearing off, for us. I just got rearended this past friday and the car is at benson collision center. I am not that impressed with Benson and was rather hoping that MB of Boerne would have gotten the dealership, as that dealership is beyond fantistic. I brought my sons C300 into the dealership once and they gave him an R350 as a loner because I wanted to see how it drove. Like every one else Ancira didn't tell me they dropped smart and benson took it over so when I went in for service it only took them a half hour to inform me. Ancira is a joke when it comes to service, and Benson was totally not prepared and they didn't have some of the things my car needed have to go back at some later time. All and all I will probably keep my smart till the extended warrant goes out which has some long time on it, then it will probably go. Even though I drive it a lot, with all the newer cars coming out with more innovations, and smart not keeping up with the other car makers it makes little sense to keep it, now if smart were to keep up with innovations then maybe I would trade for another smart, who knows.
keep on keeping on.
