I've owned my yellow Smart since Feb 2008. I wanted a bright car so that other drivers would be looking at me instead of hitting me. I can find my "little" car in a lot with just a glimpse of yellow from quite a distance. At night I feel safer.
That said, I kind of like being somewhat unique that they stopped making yellow. I heard they were bringing back a yellow (now quite the original) and with silver trim. Not my look. I love the yellow and black, very distinctive. My brother's Smart in Australia (his first one) was, only to be described as baby poo green/yellow. Sorry. But it was nice. He's on his second non yellow Smart and misses the original for colour and other reasons.

Panel swap done. Got done late yesterday, so today will be our first day in our "new" yellow smart. Now I can OFFICIALLY join. Yellow/ black just works on these cars!

My wife Joyce has had her eye on a Yellow ever since she saw one in Paris, France several years ago.

Was at my dealer yesterday and he told me that the yellow was coming back and he expected a delivery very soon. Yah!

Yellow should be returned because this is the only car that Yellow really fits well on. I love my Blue and Sliver car, but really love the Yellow panels the most.

I have the old red color (as you can see in the photo). It is metallic and I can tell... if I look close enough. (which means that the panels have been painted). I found a very small, existing scratch and can also tell that the plastic color is black. I usually don't like yellow cars. On the smart, however, Yellow is clearly the best. I hope they bring it back.

You can't have a bumble bee car without yellow. My car got the bumble bee theme when I came out of church one day and a little boy was yelling "my bumble bee car, my bumble bee car" so at that point I knew I had to have bumble bees on my car. I love my yellow.
