I just got a red/black Passion on dec 28, 2008. It was a showroom orphan. I had put in a reservation in July, 2008 but this car came up first so I grabbed it. Lot's of fun.

I'm live in Sacramento in the South Natomas area. There are at least two or three Smarts around.

Are any of you from Nor Cal? I'm in Sac. See a few smarts in town but don't know any other Asian owns one.

Here's a Motor Trend ad from HK. Check out the wheels (looks like the Euro version). Priced at $17,900 including 35% HK registration tax.

Not sure how many Asian Americans you'll get to join this group but there are plenty of Asians with smart cars in Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan already. There will be even more Asians with smart cars when they start selling in China.
