For those that have lost track of where the smart CARolinas' web site is, it is in the process of moving. You can now find it on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/smartcarolinas) or on the web (http://smartcarolinas.digitalgreenman.com/). The web location has an event calendar, basic message base, and a newsletter. If you want to sign up to have the newsletter delivered, go to the web site and click the "send a message" link, and include your name and email address.

Okay, SC smarties - fall is here, and that means stuff to do!  We have a "maintenance day" planned for next Saturday (Oct 8) (clutch actuator lube, plus other things, as requested), place and time TBD (but in the Charlotte area), we have a drive up to Victory Junction, with a tour of the facility included (plus lunch, provided by the Junction), in Randleman, NC on Nov 6, and three holiday parades scheduled.  For more information immediately, log on to the smart CARolinas web site (http://smart-carolinas.socialgo.com/) and check the events.  I will try to get everything posted here, as well.

If you have not joined us on our website; there is a $5.00 annual fee only to cover our host-server cost so we have a central communication place.

As of 7/19/10:
smart CARolinas is now a member supported website and club. Members pay $5 a year for access to the entire site and to attend club events.

When you sign up you will be sent information on how to pay the yearly fee.

The website has gone into private mode. All non paying members have been put in suspension. All future members will need to register for an account and will be given a 1 week free trial to see if they like the site. After that a payment will be needed to continue access.

Come join us for our Santa Hat Project for our smarts. We plan to start the sewing in October and then drive our cars, with the hats, in one or more of the local holiday parades.

Pics of the sample and other details are at the other end of the link.

Pattern and materials have been selected and will need to be ordered no later than October 9th, hat count by October 1 would be best.

Cost $25.00 per hat
