Brabus Waiting Period

What has been the waiting experiences for people that have configured their Brabus models?

My DDE first showed up on Mar 24. On Mar 25 and 26 it changed one day each day and has stayed the same since then at 5/10/09 to 8/8/09. Today I got an email from Smart that my car is scheduled to arrive in the USA within the next 90 days. I am going to the dealer tomorrow to look at an orphan with the same options I ordered. Likewise my DDE has fluctuate slightly since re-appearing on Mar 26. The date is now 5/16/09 to 8/14/09 and today I also received email from Smart that my car is scheduled to arrive in the USA within the next 90 days. My original reservation number was 1626 and my local dealer is Round Rock. I had ordered a Coupe.

I had ordered a coupe also. My local dealer, which is 120 miles from my home, is in Lincolnwood, IL. I have been told by a salesperson at the dealership that they are getting 60 smart cars this year.

Well, fellas I had contacted the dealer regarding my now 'real' DDE for my Brabus. My DDE was 5/23/2009 to 8/21/2009. I wanted to know if the numbers were legit. He had no information for me. A couple of days later he called me back asking if I wanted to take delivery of an orphan Brabus just like what I ordered that is sitting in port right now. I replied, That is a no brainer - Heck yea I'll take it. He said he could have my new arrival here in a week. I had to cancel my current reservation through smartUSA to get my $99 back. Checking my DDE now shows that there is not one to be found. So, I guess that means soon I will be leaving the "still waiting" group. Ah, so many mods to do.

Help ! I have fallen into the dreaded
"Estimated ETA Date: Your vehicle delivery date cannot be estimated at this time." zone!

I am now entering my 14th month of waiting for my car.

I reserved March 5th 2008. # 1525 .

I configured Jan 3, 2009

However, I now believe this means nothing.

Until April 1st my DDE was April - June 2009 Now, I have none.

I can't believe how badly they have botched the distribution of their product.

I called trying to get info and they tried to sell me an orphan.

Folks who ordered after me, have their car by now.

If I had a hundred dollars for every time someone has tried to sell me an orphan, my car would be paid for by now.

You have to figure that between the folks who canceled due to the economy, the folks
who gave in and bought an orphan, and the folks who simply gave up. they would have better service for those who have been waiting so long.

You would think they would be able to answer a simple question like..

"Dude, where's my car ?"

I bought an orphan Brabus last Friday. Same as I ordered plus two options (Alarm system and fog lights). We love it. Just as others have said, if you can get an orphan which is the same as what you ordered.... jump on it.

I GOT GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS. GOOD NEWS IS,GOT E-MAIL TODAY THAT MY CAR WILL BE DELIVER WITH IN 90 DAYS, BAD NEWS IS THEY DELIVER IT TO BIRNMINGHAM, ALABAMA. I LIVE IN OKLAHOMA ALABAMA IS ABOUT 1000 MILES FROM WHERE I LIVE. SO I TRY TO TELL THEM THAT TULSA,OKLAHOMA IA THE CLOSER DEALER . STILL WAITING FOR THE ANSWER.
