Drive and DineApril 21st, Meet at Jackie Cooper and be on the road by 9:30 so come early (9 to 9:30), I'll see if they will provide rolls and fruit. No gurantee.
The Drive: J.C.'s to Napoli's Italian Restaraunt in Langely Ok. Run 169 to 412, 412 to 82 (Locust Grove) on to Langely Ok. They open at 11:00 for lunch.Good food reports. Then a quick drive over Disney Dam, to a state park to look at lake. Then home. About an 1hr+20 min drive to restaraunt.
Please RSVP. I will post this on the events page here and also on smartcarofamerica.com under Chapters/Regional; Oklahoma. .
I am at your beck and call! We "Smart People" need to show that we are right and those that choose not to follow, are? Paying $$$$$ more than we are to go where we want to go and at the same time, feeling just fine!! Well that said, I am open to a fun time. I am just waiting for the "Turbo" model. Any word?
Great idea Lloyd. I'm up for that drive. It's a pretty drive too. By taking 169 we don't have to worry about toll booths like we would on the Creek Turnpike to 412.
Which weekend is better for you in April, 14th or 21st?
Hey Jill, Alex and all. How about a run from JC's to Napoli's Italian Restaraunt in Langely Ok. Run 169 to 412, 412 to 82 (Locust Grove) on to Langely Ok. They open at 11:00 for lunch.Good food reports. Then a quick drive over Disney Dam, to a state park to look at lake. Then home. About an 1+20 drive to restaraunt.
I'm thinking April 14 or 21 for our first drive. Trying to figure out where we'd go.
How long of a drive are all of you up to?
That sounds like a good idea Alex. Do you have something specific in mind? A get together there and then a drive or ??? We can approach them but need an idea of what we have in mind before we approach them.
I know I can get them to advertise it in their weekly email newsletter and provide a predrive snack but if they'd do a mass emailing to owners or even snail mail it would reach more people. I'd also like to see if we put together a flyer (or brochure) if the dealer will give them to new owners or at least set them out where people can pick them up and hopefully contact us.
I've just found out that there 6 or 7 smart owners in the Coweta area. I'm working on how to get them together with us as well.
You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Think we might be able to get Jackie Cooper to help host a "spring drive event" or something?
Thanks Alex. I've used them too and the result is good. Just looking for an auto for those days that I am lazy.
