I took the car in and they have fixed it apparently, haven't picked up my car yet as they were fixing a scratched rim as well.

Did you ever get the steering wheel trim piece repaired to your satisfaction?

Comment by George Oller on July 23, 2014 at 11:26pm

The screw may have been overtightened and the hole is stripped.  If that's the case, the dealer will have to replace the silver plastic wheel trim.  The car is under warrenty, so don't let them give you the run a round.

Also, try & avoid large potholes so that you don't damage those beautiful Brabus wheels. The rims are a little on the soft side & will bend.

Tighten the screw or take it back to Laguna Niguel & have them tighten it. It shouldn't be loose.

Ok George I just checked behind my steering wheel at the bottom where the silver pieve is loose or not attached. There is a screw hole and there is a screw in it, but it almost appears as though it is not engaged into the silver plastic piece. Thoughts?
