There is not a six month wait here between reserving and configuring.
I stand by my comment
The smart has no real-time mileage display / trip computer either standard or as an option. I reset the trip odometer each time I fill up and write it on the reciept after that the MPG or the Miles per Dollar is easy to calculate. There is a full blown computer available aftermarket for the 450 in europe and I would guess it won't be long before it is available here.
