Andrew, the Shackle lubrication has done pretty well. My Son has been driving the car in Oklahoma. When I last checked with him, he indicated he has started getting the sound again but very infrequently. I have a feeling we may need to do this periodically but I think we've been pretty good so far - certainly much much better than previously.
Exactly what I've had. I equated it to the sound of a tool box full of wrenches hitting the pavement. Thought for sure there had to be some physical damage when it happened the first time. The only thing I can think of is a problem with the shock valves. In any event, my next step is to try and record the sound then leave it with the dealer when it gets cold until they can give me something. I have to think others are having the same problem. Sound be good to get some more traffic on this to take to Smart. I can't imaging that someone could hear that sound and not be concerned.

Unforunately, no resolution yet. It is definitely the cold. It only happens when it is cold, but I haven't been able to determine if its a particular temperature and but the time I get half way to the dealer, it stops. Living in Texas just doesn't give me enough cold long enough to leave it at the dealer so they can experience it. I haven't given up hope yet and am hoping for an extra cold winter in Dallas.
