THAT just cracked up my household!! I loved them clapping!!
well I am glad you are safe thus far...we are going to just keep praying it stays that way!
We just watched a news segment about me winning an essay contest from Dreyer's icecream for "the Coolest US Neighborhood". Dreyer's gave us icecream and supplies for 1,000 people so they came out and interviewed me but you know how it is when you hear your voice on tv...yuck! Note to self: dont laugh so hard and get rid of my drawl.
I had my smart in front of our house but, unfortunately, it didn't make the edit. Maybe on the 10pm news!
keep those pets safe in the 'canes! and you too!
and I love the pet nicknames...I will have to conjur up some myself...hmmm...
I must go think on that now...Bindi would most assuredly be the porno star dog though. No doubt. For many reasons including the fact she has an obsession with bras. She can find one in the largest pile of laundry or in any drawer she can get to...I have no idea how...and she nabs em and runs...boob thing. we have crazy pets.
Hi! Well,we made it through Fay and Gustav, and now we are awaiting Hanna, Ike, and Josephine! It is going to be one of THOSE hurricane years (like 2005 was). UGH ... in a word.
I have, by the way, three other cats (Rod The Porno Star Cat; Sophia, who is only 8 lbs, but all TERROR; and Biff The Pool Boy Cat) All the cats here are from various hurricanes over the past eleven years. We also have a Golden Retriever named Mulligan. We recenty had to put down our 16 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Murphy (miss the old guy terribly!). Thank goodness we have an old Chevy S10 pick up truck (excuse me, I meant Cowboy Cadillac, of course) to haul the critters around and to do Lowe's runs etc. I do use the smart car, with great success, to do a monthly Costco MEGA buy run! I received applause recently from a small group of people who, unbeknownst to me, were watching me load up the smart car with $400 worth of Costco purchases (I don't think I will nee dto buuy toilet paper for at least another five years)!!!! When I finished, they all clapped! What a hoot! Keep in touch.
Howdy, you two. I LOVE the name of your newest smart car!
Since you are critter lovers and name things after hurricanes, you may enjoy this personal tidbit. I have a cat named WILMER. Guess which hurricane he was born during? You guessed it! He was feral and abandoned by his kitty-Mama under our 65 year old tree that toppled during Wilma. After the storm, I dug my way through the fallen tree to find where all of the mewing was coming from. He was wet and cold and near death. Well, I was without electricity for 5 1/2 weeks after the hurricane, so what else was there to do other than try to nurse him back to life. And I did ... with success! He now weighs 23 lbs -- he isn't heavy, he's just a BIG cat! He is a bit odd, though. He likes to nap in the bathroom sink! Picture, below.
