Wow, what a day!

We got up at 6am, CST knowing we would eat breakfast later on. We at a little something, fed the cat and bunny, got dressed and left by 6:40. We took a little footage of the way down, but not much. Had only one 63min tape. We drove about 100 miles or so south of Lewisville, TX to a small town called West, TX to a place my boss recommended called The Czech Stop! Its a Czech Bakery/truck stop (this place will be important later) where you can buy local Kolatchies and stuff like that, made fresh… Continue

Well, got a call yesterday.. and... I have some good news and bad news...
Looks like Im not getting the car on the 31st after all. There was some confusion and my date changed.
ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I pick it up this weekend! Sat, Jan 24th! 10am!
I feel like a piece of popcorn ready to explode!

My R2 is on US Soil!

My DDE changed this morning! It shot forward a week but Im sure that dosnt mean much more than a status change. I got a call from Round Rock saying my car has touched U.S. soil... and is turning around because its scared! Just kidding. But it is in customs, thats for sure. If smartHHO's (on SCOA) experience has taught me anything, it is that customs is not the week that it used to be. But I figure two more weeks and Ill bring my little R2… Continue

Well, my wife and I were approved through our credit union! YEA!!!! We are still going to see if the financing at Smart can get us a better deal, but the car is ours either way. The credit union said that the credit history and time on employment hurt, but they could do 80%. We are putting about 20% down so it worked out great! Keep us in your prayers that everything still goes through!

Well, I just got the call today: I am 30 days from picking up my smart. I am so excited its this close. I get the email tomorrow and a call again from my specialist. We should have about $4500 for a down payment, give or take.
Working hasnt been going too well. I got in trouble for not focusing and it turns out I have ADHD. But I hope that in a few weeks, everything will go back to normal. Im back to hourly from salary and now I have to get overtime to make up for… Continue
