"Just a quick note. For those of you who participated in Saturday's Sycamore Christmas parade and no-host dinner at the Marble City Grill in Sylcauga - thanks; we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon - even though the weather wasn't…"
Hey Bruce...thanks for the email...trying to figure out how to navigate this forum. In regards to the upcoming M&G...I've marked it on my calendar. It sounds like fun...please pass on any info...I hope to make it. I used to be a member of the local Miata group and they planned events similar to that...anyway thanks for the invite and hopefully we can all meet soon. Randy
Susan Barber, I am trying to get intouch with Mike the cop in southside B'Ham. He told me about bike insurance that was cheaper than my husban is paying for his. He is the one who told you about me and he talked like you guys were good friends
My smartie is at the 1,000 mile mark as well. I have had it since the end of July. I have had some problems with it already. I left it at Crown's so they could put the fog light in (I have night blindness) and it took 5 days to do so. While I was renting on of their mercedes
I was hit by a guy who did not stop at a yield sigh. Also, when they but my lights in my inside lights do not work and when I put my high beams on my back lights go out. I am having a hard time to make time to leave it with them because I am worried it may take a couple of days and I am NOT renting another one of their cars. I have a daughter who 16 and to ask her if I can use her SUV is drama city.
Plus the cherry on top of all this, when I was taking the police report to my insurance company I past by McAdory as they are building an add on to the school and a large "rock" it was more like a brick hit the front of my smartie. It would take over $400 to fix it so my husband bought my an euro sign for the front to cover the the whole and said problem solved. But non the less I love my car and all the people who come up to me and ask questions; they are so nice. Once while walking to my car an older couple was in front of me and he said he could not believe anyone would want a car that small and I spoke up and said "Oh your are talking about me" and we laught. I told him I was small and could get in and out of it with no problem.
Let me know when a group of us can get together.
I used to come to the V with the singles club. Also great friends with Shari Lamona (former waitress there) and Aunt to Michelle Henry (former V waitress). We meet years ago. Shari has been on numerous trips with me in my Smart and she bought her own Smart last Thursday. She is the one who recognized your profile as being the "Bruce" from Southern Nights. Welcome to our club!
