2nd Annual Smart Nationals for 2011?????

Started this discussion. Last reply by Gary Bryers Aug 24, 2010. 4 Replies

Has anyone started planning the 2nd Annual Smart Nationals?  Is there a place/way where people can volunteer to help in the planning/organizing?  I'd love to help.

About Me
We feel in love with the Smart Car in New Zealand in 2005. We knew then we wanted one. We bought a 2005 Passion in 2007 and boy did it create a stir. It would take us 30 min after parking just to get into the grocery store, and the same amount of time to leave. We now have a 2009 Cabrio. MGP isn't as good and neither is the pick-up, (miss the turbo) but the convertible is incredibly fun! Personnaly, I love to cook and cater parties, travel, sing, garden, and be out doors.

Hey Robin850, I have the platform on my Smartie. Works great. I put one of those big white fishing coolers on it to pack stuff in when I drove to Nationals from Denver. The coolers fit perfectly! Depending upon how much weight you add though you have to adjust breaking and accelerating distances. Haven't had problems going cross-country in the mid-west, but the weight does hamper speed in the mountains. Continue

For those wanting "extras" for their Smartie, contact SmartMaddness.com They have everything from the bumperstickers you wanted to Smartbrellas (I got one and it's great) to glare reducers (goes between rear-view mirror and sun-visors) cruise controls, anything you can imagine. I've unfortunately for my bank account, spent a small fortune with them and they are wonderful to work with. They have several hundred after market items for the Smart Cars. SmartMaddness is located in Southern…

Hello fellow Smart owners. We are new to the club but have been an owner of Smat cars since 2007. We are on our second. (had a 2005 before) Our Smart Cabrio is named Kiwi! We would like to know who is going to KC next month. I would like to arrange a caravan. I've been recently talking to John to get everything needed. (Paul at the Smart dealership showed me the pic of BumbleBee's eyelashes. Those are GREAT!) Looking forward to meeting everyone! Call me anytime at 303-250-5505 or Russ at… Continue
