Has anyone started planning the 2nd Annual Smart Nationals?  Is there a place/way where people can volunteer to help in the planning/organizing?  I'd love to help.

Denver Smarts meet at Westminster Mercedes (now the Smart dealer), them cruise to Staples parking lot in Boulder to meet more Smarts. We will meet on every second Wednesday of the month going forward, but we will make an exception in October and meet on the 3rd Wednesday for smart conversations and smart sightings with fellow smart owners

At this point it appears there's not much interest in a second "annual" Nationals. There's a "Return to Wisconsin Dells" in the works for next June which can be viewed as a Midwest regional event. Nothing in 2011 so far…

About Me
We feel in love with the Smart Car in New Zealand in 2005. We knew then we wanted one. We bought a 2005 Passion in 2007 and boy did it create a stir. It would take us 30 min after parking just to get into the grocery store, and the same amount of time to leave. We now have a 2009 Cabrio. MGP isn't as good and neither is the pick-up, (miss the turbo) but the convertible is incredibly fun! Personnaly, I love to cook and cater parties, travel, sing, garden, and be out doors.

Hey Robin850, I have the platform on my Smartie. Works great. I put one of those big white fishing coolers on it to pack stuff in when I drove to Nationals from Denver. The coolers fit perfectly! Depending upon how much weight you add though you have to adjust breaking and accelerating distances. Haven't had problems going cross-country in the mid-west, but the weight does hamper speed in the mountains. Continue

Hello fellow Smart owners. We are new to the club but have been an owner of Smat cars since 2007. We are on our second. (had a 2005 before) Our Smart Cabrio is named Kiwi!
