"Hi all, it's been a while. Amy and I are currently staying at the 49er RV Ranch in Columbia, CA. We have seen a lot of smarts in this area which is surprising considering the remoteness of this area. With Amy at the wheel, she loves to drive…"
"Congratulations to the Wynn's for beginning to fulfill their dreams at a young age. I wish more young people could do that. All to often, people say "when I (or we) retire," only to encounter situations during the older years that…"
"Here’s thought. Yesterday a local reporter stopped by to ask me about what I thought about the drilling for gas on the St. Vrain State Park property for which I’m work camping on. In a nutshell, I told him as long as the river below the…"
"Okay, here’s my smart (or brain fart) Christmas commercial.
Scene 1: From a distant you see eight smarts driven by elves towing Santa in his luxury MB. As the Santa is towed in front of you the announcer says “It may take eight to tow…"
"Yep. This state park is better than a lot of privately owned parks I've been to. It's open year round. You have lots of space between neighbors and the RV sits on concrete pads. I have the best front door view ever. Come and join me.…"
It will save me lots of money in fuel cost and it's a joy to drive.
My wife Amy and I full time RVers traveling across this great nation. We recently purchased our first Smart in Santa Maria, California. Soon afterward, I learned of the Smart Car of America Forum and then we were invited to the 2011 Mid West Smart Car Rally held during June 10-12, 2011 at Wisconsin Dells. We traveled from California to attend this event and had the most enjoyable experience. The highlight of the weekend was showing our Smart along with others at the downtown Car Show on Sunday.
Sounds to me like you don't 'Wanna-Bee', you already are! Great CG name. lol How many feet long is the Cyclone ( I know how long Baby Cy is, lol )?
Only seven weeks, Baby Cy is just a babe. Is your online Travelogue online private? I can share it with the sUSAi RV Owners Group. Btw, if you join the Group we can converse 'over there' and the RV people can welcome you and listen in to our RV chatter. (Don't cost nutin' lol) We love to see fellow RV/smart owners rigs.
I'll go check out the Wanna-Be.
I look forward to seeing at the group for more chats.
PS. Be glad you are up north, the smoke in Florida in bad.
I would have loved making it to the Dells, I hope I can go next year. Got to plan it out. What campground did you stay at in the Dells? I plan to do the Dragon in September. I am based in Jacksonville, FL. I just spent 7 months workcamping in Welaka, FL. Back in Jax for a while. We have been doing short trips 2-4 months at a time. Trying to gear up for 6 out and 6 back. It's great having the smart and the RV. Are you fulltiming? Or just following the 'wind'?
btw, I saw your comment on SCoA about coming from CA to the Dells. Was that your first smart rally?
Welcome to sUSAi, David. I'm glad you're here.
Great pix of your smartie. Where you from? Heck, If I knew where you are from, I could direct you to a local smart club/group!
I created a susai group for RVers with smarts. You are invited to join the smartrvowners group Then click on: "click here to request access"
at the top of the page.
