It's the official reset method. May take a few tries to get it to work.

Thanks for letting me know, does anyone know how to clear it. I take care of my car and it is all ok and they forgot to clear it. but it wasn't a dealer, I have 2009 smart passion black and silver love it fully loaded and could not be happier.…

The two wrenches normally mean the car is due for it's 2 year/20K mile maintenance service. Here's an example of one smart center's service chart for reference:…
