I LOVE MY (our) smart Car! I only wish it had a horn that would get some idiots attention, rather then a chuckle! Am thinking of getting a "truck" horn! Sometimes it's a bit frustrating when they see you coming and people pull out in front of you, as if you didn't have enough umph to get up and go and it just irritates me, because it means my breaks are getting more work out then I like! Other then giving my hand signal (read finger) I want a horn that'll rip them a new one! Any suggestions??…

Have fun with the horn. It has been put to good use with lane drifters, the best one a sleek black MBZ going up Hwy 26 near the Zoo exit in Portland and crowding into my lane from the right. One blast and he gave me a shocked look as I kicked it down a gear and scooted on my way!
Wish you and others from scSEA dealer area would have been at the Show & Shine in Edmonds yesterday. This was the first event sponsored by the SEA group that I have attended, trying to add some WA friends! (Not that OR friends aren't any good!)
I am one happy camper!! Thank you so much for recommending Dan! He just left about half an hour ago and I now have an-honest-to-goodness-I'll rip-you-a-new-one car horn! I know people on the west coast are too shy to use their horns, but the next time I get cut off again, watch out!
Both of us were amazed at the prompt and efficient service Dan provided and I can truly recommend him for anyone else who wants a new horn in the Seattle area and he does house calls - imagine that!! He was so patient with us, because we were kind of curious how it all fits together, and he was also very pleasant about it!
Don't know yet how to post this on the main blog for EVERYONE to see, but holy cow, I will certainly try to figure out how to send more business toward Dan!
If YOU know how, please let me know, because the world needs to know that there are still people out there who are willing to help one another without being ripped off! Dan is truly in it for the love of the car and if he can make some moola on the side to help him along, more power to him! Much nicer and reliable, then some out of state outfits!!
Again THANK YOU Tim, for your help and recommendation!

My solution? Buy the Stebel Nautilus horn (compact black Italian) at Griot's and have Dan at SmarTune install it for you-- at half the hourly rate of scPDX and probably scSEA.
Dan is in the Tacoma area and commutes to work in Everett. See contact info here:
