I have preformed all the maintenance on my smart as I frankly cannot afford the dealers charges. ($120 for an oil change). After I do the maintenance,of course, I still keep getting the little wrench…Continue

"The best directions that I have found are on:  www.evilution.com/co.uk. ; Watch the video and follow the prompts.  Timing is everything.  Make sure the button is depressed when you switch the key back on."

Let me begin by saying that I have a Corvette in the garage and a new 2010 smart car in the driveway. Each car fills a particular niche in the automotive lobe of my brain. However, the vette has been out of the garage less than a dozen times since I bought the smart in mid-July. I do have a problem with my Pure that leaves me a bit perplexed with the attempts that have been offered me as a "fix".

Dave, I hear your frustration. SmartUSAs policy on 'technical' assistance is to use the number you called. Here's their 'official' susai stance as posted at the bottom of all susai pages.

You can post the info in a blog or forum post, you might get some help from susai members but, not from smartUSA. Have you tried the SCoA forum yet? also try to get the regional director of smartUSA thru your dealer, then they can work up the chain. Good Luck.
