"Go to the evilution websight and watch the video and follow the instructions.  Remember to have the left button depressed when you turn the key back on.  Keep holding it down and you will see 10k come up and then it is reset.  Good…"

"This is the most frequently asked question. I must admit that I'm far from a service interval so I have not tried myself, but here is the link to the online smart car encyclopedia http://www.evilution.co.uk/458 "

My Brabus

Posted on April 20, 2009 at 11:47am 7 Comments

After a year and 6 days, I received my new Brabus this morning at 1 AM. (My son drove it up from Dallas last night). This morning I drove it for the first time. The most noticable thing I experienced was the smooth shifting. Makes a world of difference! I think I will really enjoy it and I want to say a special thank you to Allison Powers, my salesman at Park City, for work above and beyond in correcting a big problem-caused by me. I won't go into the details, they are boring.

Anyway, its… Continue

Brabus

Can you believe that "Auto on/off" headlights is NOT a feature of the new Brabus? Evidently, according to Smart, it's not even an option. Even my Smart Passion has it. Are we going backwards? If I accept my new Brabus, I'll have to be sure to carry my jumper cables. No Cruise Control is bad enough-and now this!

U Haul Trunk???

I have read that several of you had found a near "custom made" trunk for my new Smart. This is made by Rola(?) from U-Haul. I cannot find such and would like to look at one. If anyone knows where I can locate same, I would appreciate a number, page, or website. Love my new Smart! Thanks

My delivery date is the same as yours on the Brabus. I talked the local dealer today and he said most likely it will be delivered in April. Hope I can work out the financing or I just might cry.

You can tow a smart car four down, Don. While the owners manual is a bit hesitant in making that claim, the SmartCar website does, and I understand the owners manual is being updated to say same. Regardless, kind of, that's exactly the mission I envisioned for my SmartCar prior to purchase. I have a Winnebago View (pretty small) and the SmartCar is the lightest car on the road. It's transmission is basically manual with an electric/automatic clutch, it will make our grandkid visits much more enjoyable. When I get some spare time I'm going to have the Roadmaster towbrackets installed, and hopefully drag it along when we visit the San Antonio kids this October.

Don, I live in Canyon...don't think I had a dealer choice, Albuquerque seemed the only offer, but they were great. Picked me up at the airport (week ago yesterday), set up, nice group to deal with. Long drive home. See me in a yellow passion driving around town wave, everybody else does. Richard

I have two dealer choices, one in Albuquerque, NM and one in Dallas, TX. Has anyone had any dealings with either?
