Its worth the wait, they are never even close with the dde so forget about that. My first Smart took 11 months and my 2nd one took 10 months. If you tired of waiting I can get you a Brand New Smart with NO upcost, just let me know what your looking for.

I bought my warranty through Intercontinental Warranty Service (IWS). I purchased it in Sept 2008 when my car had 1600 miles on it, and it cost $1306.00. The coverage is 7 yr, 100,000 miles. It is a named exclusion warranty, so it covers everything except what is named in the brochure. The thing about this company is that it is exclusive to credit unions, so I don't believe it is offerred without accounts at a partnered credit union.

I work for and am a member at Alliant Credit Union in Chicago, and that is how I was eligible to get this product. It is much better than what Smart was offerring. Alliant did end up partnering with a new warranty company, Member's Choice MRC. They felt that it offers better coverage for our members.

It tells you what is and what is not covered. You will see that it covers pretty much everything.
