Same story. I try locking and unlocking, pulling on the door latch from the inside and spraying a lot of WD 40 on the moving parts. It seems to happen more around changes in the weather.
Ratings are one thing but actual mileage is another. My smart car and my 2007 Toyota Corolla get nearly identical mileage. The smart is a better car than the Yaris, but I know someone getting 3mpg or more better in her Yaris driving a faster route…
Sorry that you're having so many problems with your smart.
Changing out the stereo is easy. Once you change out the head unit, there will be a huge difference. If you do the speakers, another huge difference.
I love my smart, but have to say…
I do combined driving, mostly highway, some steep hills. I have only had one tank under 40mpg, and that was 39. Today, when I filled it, I had 43.3mpg. When I took a relatively flat route last week, it was 45.1.
Only kind of back. The Yellow is only back as an upgraded Pure with Chrome accents. It comes with AC and a few other things, but still has Pure wheels, and steering wheel without paddle shifters
