We will be installing a Blue Ox towing system and the blue ox Patriot braking system. If I use a battery disconnect per the manual then I would need to install another 12volt outlet and have it connected directly to the battery so I can plug in the brake system. Continue

We just downsized and bought a Winnebago Via class A motor home. It is 26 feet long and will tow our Smart Car with no problems. We are looking for a dealer that has installed the base plate (either Blue-Ox or Roadmaster as they both have baseplates for Smart) on a Smart Car before. Hi all you Smarties out there. Just a quick note if you have to leave your Smart sit for a while. We went on a 4 month RV trip with our motor home and left my Smart at home since we have not installed a tow package yet. I hooked the Smart up to a battery minder(not too hard to do, but you have to remove the passenger side floor to get to the battery) and put a bottle of Sta-Bil into the full gas tank.
