Fred, well put. I'm on SCOA and 451. 451 is a NING site like susai but no corporate ties. Maybe I should start a 'We're moving to 451' Group. lol

Hey Fred, thanks for the headsup, I can understand the situattion, they need to put an assembly plant in the US, but dont pay the workers $80 and hour to put one lug nut on all day....he he he. I can wait for maybe six months then I will make a decision and drive or wait it out, my current vehicle is an 06 Cobalt, junk, and the Smart Buy, lease, runs out August 010. Thanks again for the scoop the straight poop and now I know and it is cool. Love that blue/black Smartie.... Larry

That's for a regular Smart. They are not leasing the Brabus models which to be honest is the only Smart I am interested in. Thanks for the comment though. :)

Hi Fred: I just joined the forum. I read your comment about purchasing a spare. Where did you get it, and did you get a jack and lug wrench?

This morning, while backing out of my driveway, the transmission indicator on the instrument panel stayed indicating "N". No matter what I did with the gear selector, no forward or backward motion...just Park and N. Thinking about blog comments about the technology in the smart, I came to the conclusion that I had to 'reboot.' So, I switched off the ignition; switched it back on again and voila... all was well. I selected 'R' and the smart backed up, out the driveway and I continued on my way to work. Anybody else experience this?
