Gas mileage, handling and maneuverability, parking footprint, looks.
I purchased my 2009 BRABUS coupé second hand in October 2010 and enjoy driving it anytime I can get it away from my wife and son.
I saw my first smart 450 up close and personal while vacationing in Italy in 2002 and knew I had to have one. I was thrilled when smart USA announced that they would begin importing them. I had been a regular bus rider, but last year my wife and I decided for several reasons that it was time for a second car and the smart was the logical choice.
I live in Utah, near Salt Lake City, am happily married, and have three adult daughters, a son at home, and five grandchildren.
Sorry for the delay in replying. Even thou i'm
retired,I seem to always have enuf on my
plate to keep me busy also. I think I would be
great to have a local group or club for social
interaction. I live in the Clearfield area & am
not familiar with any other smart owners.
I have rarely spotted bout 3-4 others in local
traffic but attribute the scarcity to being a long
distance fm Lindon dealership & the fact their
MB employ of incompetent sales staff to relate
to the smart buyer. I pre-ordered (recd Feb
09) before the smart dealership was
designated. I am not yet aquainted w the
smart utah group & had not known of its
existance until your mention. I'll have to
research it more. It's good to hear from another
satisfied smart owner. Stay in touch. Don
My Smart car is in storage as I am serving a mission in Russia for the LDS Church and will be out of the country for 17 more months. When we return, we will resume the fun of driving and parking our Smart car anywhere. We really miss it here as we take public transportation everywhere. I would enjoy hearing how the Utah group is doing and wouldl enjoy being involved when we return. Good Luck.
