It's so cute! And peppy and roomy. Good cargo space! Great MPG, of course.

With about 3000 miles on my new smart (I commute in Montana about 50 miles round trip 5-6 days a week.), I am averaging 42 mpg city and about 52 on longer trips. I wonder if I might be the first person to run OUT OF GAS in my smart!! I was not paying attention to the gauge, and boom! OUt of gas! My friends laughed so hard! That's the only thing I wish was different---I wish the gas gauge would chime when it got down to the reserve amount in the tank. Just intermittently, not constantly. I am… Continue

I'm not a big extended warrany nut either. I believe the roadside assistance is part of the car purchase. I recieved a letter when I bought the car that had an 800 number. When I called it they put me through to the road assist people. You know the rest of the story.
A beeping noise? Have you posted in on this site? If you dont get a response try posting on SCOA they are very savy.

Leslie, if you remember, I had an issue with the engine light. Well, here's the rest of the story; I bought a scan guage and scanned the codes to determine the issue, it turned out to be a PO410 which means the secondary air sensor was malfunctioning. I called the smart center to see if they would send me the part (since Lindon UT is 500 miles from Billings) and they refused. They said the car had to come to the service center. So, I called the Smart roadside assistance number and within a couple hours my Smart was riding piggyback on a car carrier. Smart's roadside assistance picked up the car, carried it to Utah, repaired it while the driver waited, then reloaded the car and trailered it back to Billings. I was without the car for one day total.
I gotta tell you, I have never had that level of service from any dealer, ever.

Leslie, I love your vanity plate. I think I recieved my Cab at the same time as you. Was yours shipped via Linden Utah? My plate says pdlfstr, unfortunately my wife wont let me drive it, she keeps it to herself.
