I saw what looked to be a very good bike rack for the Smart Cars at a rally awhile back. The guy who has it is a member of the New Englang Smart Group, and his name is John Hosken. I know he can tell you more about it. I can't use a normal bike rack for my Zipps so I just put the passangers seat down, and it its.
Sorry... I just found your note tonight. I actually purchased my bars from a guy on e-bay who had a complete setup... however, I wanted to use a different bike rack. I saw the Boa rack at the Yakima site and also considered it. However, I'm heading out to the midwest next month (approx. 1300 mile trip one way) and just didn't feel comfortable going that far with the Boa. Probably be fine.... but I worry. (smile) Check out www.gominigo.com and you will find fittings that screw into the tow hook receptical that's threaded on the outer end..... that might be what you're looking for. I spoke with a couple of folks that are using gas pipes instead of the stainless which saves some $$$$, however, as I said before.... I tend to worry about the bike. (smile)
Howdy, sorry for the confusion. The radio bezel is not on their website yet but you can reach them at firstname.lastname@example.org, the bezel is about $80. There are more pictures and into at http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/forums/f84/smartbillets-billet-radio-bezel-10835/
The stubby antenna works great but I imagine it has to do with your proximity to the radio station relays etc. It was easy to screw on, check out http://www.carccessory.com or stubbyantenna.com. I think I got the J-series antenna but the site will give you info on whether or not it will work on the smart. Happy trails!
