Location: Ann Arbor MI

My favorite things about smart: safety. price, mileage. And now that I've been driving it - the way it handles, the features, the room for my dog, how it feels, the transmission, styling, and how much people love it.

About Me: I am a writer, teacher, and holistic health practitioner. I still would rather walk or bike than drive, but driving sure is more fun these days. I'm committed to doing my part to reverse the climate crisis.

The DDE has been moving almost every day this week, one day further away. No news from the dealer.

DDE changed to starting 10/23/08, then 10/27/08

Dealer confirmed November arrival.

I found out on my own about the transport from Germany 10/28/08

The car is in Baltimore as of Nov. 13, 2008. No word from the dealer this month. The DDE is set on 10/27 as the early part of the 3 month window.

The dealer estimate of Nov 26 for delivery isn't going to happen. The original window of 40-70 days expires Dec. 7. So I am hoping for next week!

On Nov. 24 the dealer had no idea where the car was or when it might be in. I called. No dealer initiated e-mails or contact since Oct. 1. But pretty quick responses to my e-mails, except for the last one, still waiting to hear about the EPA sticker issue.

Friday Nov. 28 and the car is here and I am picking it up this afternoon.
