For those of you that want something to do but you aren't willing to take the 3 hour drive to Fellsmere, there is a cruise in today at the River City Market Place. We usually meet at the Burger King off of 295 and Commonwealth. I suggest you meet there at 4:40PM and cruise to the event. This is held off of 95 and Duval Rd. Take the Airport/Duval Rd. Exit. Parking is between Lowe's and Walmart. George Olier is usually there to save spots for club members. See More

Hello Everyone,I am pleased to announce that the city of Jacksonville has once again accepted First Coast Smarties into their Veteran's Day Parade. I just got home from South Africa today and amongst the 250 emails that I had received while gone, was one from them yesterday, telling me that we were accepted. I went to St. John's Town Center the other day and as I was turning, I came across another Smart owner. I was so happy to see another one and even happier when they waved. It felt good and I wanted so bad to turn around and talk to them. Many times, in this city, the cars that pass by on the road are so far away that if they are waving, you can't see it. Road Trip

I decided to take my smart car to Mississippi last week. It was going to be an almost 600 mile trip one way. My sweet Salma was only a week old at the time and I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I sure did look forward to it. The first challenge was figuring out what we were going to be able to bring for one week. I was really excited when I saw that there were 34 members in the Jax club. I was even more excited when I saw that they did something monthly on Saturday. I became totally bummed when I saw the club hadn't done anything since last year. I would like to energize the club and get the smarties out for all to see. I am having a blast right now with mine. Just a caveat: the 'status' box on the main page, Latest Activity gets buried down into the page and disappears when new posts come in and unless a person is watching the main page they might miss it. I just happened to catch your message. I didn't see any email forwards of the Status Box messages as well.
