YES. We did and we carry it in our motor home. What if your a 1000 or mores from a smart center. Whe knew we could always get back to rv so its ready to be changed.

Towing our Smart behind the RV

We finally had our Smart outfitted with the Blue Ox system!!!  We also had the battery turn off switch installed.  It is working out great.  We did have a problem with the installation of the base plate but the RV installers paid for the repair.  Phew. They punctured the air conditioning system by mistake.   I do have another question though.  Does anyone know how many miles can flat tow before we stop and start up the Smart?  I was told 200-250, but that was flat towing a regular car.  Any…See More

Hi Mary Jane: You can get a Blue Ox from any RV dealer. If you have a Camping World they are excellent in installation of base plates and tow bars. Leroy uses a Roadmaster Falcon tow bar and base plate. Go to www.roadmasterinc.com and look at all…
