I ONLY have 800 miles on "LIDDOW". I'm kind of afraid to do much freeway driving (AFRAID SOMEONE WILL SQUISH ME)...I had a pretty bad accident on 405 about 3 yrs ago...was TOTALLY REAR ENDED...car totaled, me hauled away on a stretcher...I am NOW a paranoid driver :o( WHICH just totally sucks! I MOSTLY use my SMART for local trips to grocery store, Target, close-by friends...ALTHOUGH I do plan (IF THE SNOW QUITE!) to drive it over to our Leavenworth cabin (I didn't even know about the recent rally that way)...I have a Red Hat Tea on 5/22 in Leavenworth and would like to be adventuresome and take the SMART.

Question...do you have trouble with blind spots...I have some difficulty with that...seems it has a pretty bad blind spot for changing lanes and REALLY REQUIRES a head turn and crank to make sure you're clear...I WISH that visibility was a bit better.

I did take my Smart back to dealership for that recent recall. Have you done that yet? I went in 5/4 and they were pretty quick. Guess there was a software upgrade to help the shifting (ALTHOUGH I really didn't notice any difference in shifting post upgrade)..they also put in a new and bigger battery (which was good as mine kept going dead..think I got a dud as they'd had to jump it when I first bought it)..and then they put some new 'sticker' in it and gave me an new and improved manual.

Well, I seem to have gotten carried away... ;o)

Thanks for info on Sat...With NO SmartCar yet tho, wouldn't be as much fun. THAT, and I get my 2 yr old granddaughter today and have her for a wk & 1/2 while my husband and her daddy go fishing in Canada.

How LUCKY you two are getting to stay in PV for that long. I'm envious! Kathy (my friend who goes with me to PV annually for last 19 yrs) and I lv 11/14 and return 11/21. We stay at the Krystal. I'd love to say hi while in PV and see where your place is and get info on owning (from a REAL owner). I'm a bit put off by the hype and salespeople.
