Mine also beeps once. Evidently they dont care if you leave the key in and someone steals your Brabus. Maybe thats their way of selling more alarm systems You cannot however lock yourself out without the key. It will also beep once when you open the door if you left your key in the ignition. I have had mine for two weeks and have 700 miles on it. I drive it to work everyday and the wife drives it whenever she gets a chance. Pretty much what I intended for the car. We have two large vehicles for family and utility so the smart is my ride back and forth to Eagan (work for ECOLAB) and then in a couple years my daughter will inherit it and I will buy something else. I intend to keep the car entirely stock with the possible exception of a cruise control..
Just picked up my Silver Brabus coupe last week in Bloomington. (Actually I picked up someone else's Silver Brabus coupe and someone else will get mine in June.) Anyway . . . do you participate in any Smart rallies etc here ? Any Smart advice for a newbie ?
Yep, its a blast. We have had it a week and put nearly a 1000 miles on it. There is a bit of a learning curve as it drives, shifts and behaves differently than any other car that I have owned. Thanks. Now onto add-ons.
How is the handling on the BRABUS.??
Do you have problem handling it during windy days...and what about noise in the cabin...
Sometimes I do feel I am going to get blown away to the other lane when in my Cabriolet. But only in windy days...
My dealer didn't open until about a month before I got my orphan. They kept me in the loop on everything with the building of my reserverd car even tho I had the orphan. It has been a game with all of us knowing that I had my car but we all wanted to track the progress of a reservered one just to see how long it really takes and just what is going on. That is what I am going to miss, the little checking the DDE game we played. Really nothing for anyone to "get". Just expressing a feeling I had through the process.
