I'm jealous. lol My news - on Oct 23rd I got an e-mail saying that the smart Brabus was going to be available in the USA Feb 1 2009. Its a limited production car.. 1500 total cars. Because I am a reservation holder who had not configured, I was invited to configure a Brabus.. I did so. The configuration time is up NOV 2nd at 11:59 pm. On NOV 3rd I will get an e-mail saying if I will or will not get a Brabus. It depends if 1500 people with longer reservation dates configured one. They are either Black/Black or Silver/Silver. Coupe or Cabrio. I configured a Silver/Silver Coupe. Send some pics of that smart little car of yours.. :-)

My orig 90 day window was oct-dec 2009, it got as close as apr-jun 2009 and last week it went back to 'not able to estimate my delivery date'.. i haven't gotten to configure yet. Idont know whats going on getting very inpatient.wish they knew more about how the system works any one else had this problem?

I do like the couple of new things about it. It will have a little light on the dash to say if the gas cap is loose. Also netting on both doors where the storage area is, to make it a little bigger. I hope the price doesn't increase. Click on my profile and read about my date changing these last couple of days.. I am so happy.. I might have my smart by next AUGUST instead of OCTOBER-DEC

There is another thread on smart usa insider that had a ship tracking website. I watched it all the way to Baltimore, 8/23/08. I waited until Monday then emailed questions. I got an email back on Tuesday then a voice mail on Wednesday that it was supposed to be in Indianapolis on Sep 3rd!!
